If you have a kiddo in 1st - 7th Grade who lives in the 92nd District, please encourage them to join my Get Booked Up 📚 with JGB Summer🌞 Reading Program. Summer readers will be rewarded with a fun filled afternoon with other throughout the district. Its so important to keep our children engaged in extra reading!

We want students to get excited about reading— the same way our generation was excited about the Book It program📖 and those personal pan pizzas! 🍕

Students who develop a love of reading enter each school year ahead of students who do not so let’s encourage all of our kids to win that fun experience🎉

The Illinois House floor yesterday belonged to Peoria.

Manual Rams — 2025-2026 IHSA Class 2A State Champions, Coach Marvin Jordan and this team carried our city.

Christ Lutheran Comets — 37 wins, state title, third in the nation. Peoria basketball runs deep.

Dr. Sharon Desmoulin-Kherat — 2025 Illinois Superintendent of the Year — as she prepares to retire after 11 years.

Days like this remind me exactly who I serve and why.

This $5+ million investment, secured through the Rebuild Illinois Capital Plan, is a long-overdue commitment to the men and women who run toward danger when the rest of us run from it.
