“Hi everyone! My name is Lilly Sexton. I'm married to the Theatre teacher at SHS, Josh Sexton. We have a beautiful 12 year old, Tambry. I have been in education, specifically Math, for 15 years. My family and I have a passion for Jesus Christ, theatre, books, and unique places to eat. My husband and I are the current youth leaders at Agnes Baptist and love working with teenagers! We are beyond excited to get to work together again at SHS. As they say, once a porcupine, always a porcupine. I'm glad to be back home where I belong. Go POJO!!!”

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be introducing our new staff members! Today we’d like to start with Ms. Julia Davis!

“My name is Julia Davis, and this is going to be my 3rd year teaching! I have taught all levels of high school Spanish, as well as all core subjects for 4th grade. I grew up right here in the Springtown/Azle community! I graduated from SISD in 2021 before receiving a BA in Spanish with a concentration in education from Tarleton State University. Everyone in my immediate family is an educator, so you could say my passion for education is in my genes! This year is going to be special for me because I will be teaching in the same building as my mom as well as so many of my former teachers! I have a wonderful fiancé, Jake (who's a zookeeper), and two cute cats at home!”

Today, Mrs. Jaime Sturdivant and Mrs. Krystle Duncan presented at the TASSP (Texas Association of Secondary School Principals) conference in Dallas. The presentation, “Resetting the Culture”, focused on setting a clear vision and improving culture during administrative changes on a campus. We are excited to see the continual improvement planned for SHS. SHS will continue to strive to be the BEST for ALL!

Summer Feeding is back at Springtown ISD! 🖤

Free breakfast and lunch meals will be available for all children 18 years and younger from June 1–25, 2026, Monday–Thursday at Springtown Intermediate.

Springtown ISD campuses and offices will be closed on Monday, May 25, in observance of Memorial Day. 🇺🇸

As we enjoy time with family and friends, we also pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country.
