☀️ With school out for summer and warmer weather approaching, you are more likely to see alternative vehicles throughout the City. These include bicycles, e-bicycles, e-scooters, e-unicycles, hoverboards, Onewheels, and similar devices.
Please remember the following ordinance restrictions regarding alternative vehicles:
🚫 No bicycles, electric devices, or motorized devices of any kind are permitted on unpaved areas of City parks or trails.
🚲 Alternative vehicles are permitted on paved sidewalks, trails, pathways, and greenways within the City, including parks, but are limited to a maximum speed of 15 mph.
🛑 Alternative vehicles, except bicycles, are prohibited on I-170, Olive Blvd, Dielman Rd, Price Rd, and Old Bonhomme Rd.
✅ Bicycles, including e-bicycles, are permitted on all City roadways except I-170.
⚖️ When operated on permitted roadways, all alternative vehicles are subject to applicable motor vehicle laws, except registration and insurance requirements.
🔞 Operators of Class III e-bicycles must be at least sixteen (16) years old.
Please ride safely and courteously to help keep our parks, trails, and roadways safe for everyone.
