St. Louis City Nature Challenge

Thanks to everyone who made an observation on iNaturalist for this year's City Nature Challenge! We made almost 9,000 observations and were able to get 31% of those to research-grade status! 🦔
Worldwide, there were over 76,000 species documented and over 100,000 observers across 754 cities and 61 countries - how exciting that St. Louis gets to be part of something so big! 😁

Thanks to everyone who participated in the 2026 🦅🐍🐛

Final numbers will be announced this Wednesday, but together we made over 8,000 observations of observations of plant, animal, and fungi species in the St. Louis Region!

Together, with 668 other cities across 6 continents, we broke the record for most observations for the City Nature Challenge, with over 3.3 million observations! 🏆

Thanks to everyone who participated in the St. Louis Region, we were able to make over 10,000 observations and get 37% of those observations to research-grade status! 😃
