Thursday the 13th will see the return of Godzilla movie night! Our friend Emily who studies the films as part of her PhD at SLU will be joining us once again. This time we'll be watching the more recent film Godzilla Minus One. Stick around afterwards to discuss the film's themes of survivors' guilt, the trauma of war, and the value of individual life versus the good of the nation. Join us at 8617 Mora Ln. anytime after 6 for soup before the film starts at 7:30.

We were among hundreds who showed up yesterday evening to mourn two St. Louisans who were murdered in their home country after being cruelly and unnecessarily deported by ICE.

We’ll keep praying and fighting until this filthy rotten system is torn down brick by brick. We hope you will too.

Things are growing at the St. Louis CW garden!

We’re using our home grown peppers in our famous burritos that we share with the un-housed and soon we’ll be able to incorporate our own tomatoes too!

We also have cucumbers, okra, basil, onions, melons, and berries, as well as a bunch of flowers that exist just for the pollinators.

Like Catholic Worker founder Dorothy Day, we’re kind of anarchists. We don’t get terribly excited for the 4th of July the way many do.

This year while thousands in St. Louis are celebrate the USA at the Arch, we decided to go have a bbq for our unhoused friends who live just a little ways down the river from the big festival.

It’s hot out there! So we’re out and about making sure our friends on the street stay hydrated!

Go you have an extra cooler?

We could use another cooler or two to help us distribute ice water to folks who lack shelter during the hot summer months.

Our ideal coolers are around 50 quart capacity and (unlike a couple in our current rotation) do not leak! Our preference isn’t to buy new items but to make use of the abundance already present in our community of support.
