WHAT SAY YOU ABOUT THE NUMBER OF UNINSURED DRIVERS IN MISSOURI??
The below comments are from the citizens in Columbia, Mississippi who decided to vocalize their concerns to their Mayor regarding the alarming trends associated with Uninsured Vehiclesoperating on their roadways.
* Bottom line, if you cant pay insurance you shouldn’t be on the road.
* This disappoints me. I shouldn’t have to pay for uninsured motorists, but I do, every single solitary month.
* I don't understand why it's even a question. So people can't afford car insurance, it's ok, let's not prosecute, they can't afford it. No different in robbing stores and stealing, maybe they can't afford it. I have been involved in an accident with a non-insured driver and he suffered NO consequence. These noninsured drivers are a liability to us law-abiding citizens.
* What about the hardship we go thru paying ours every month . I have been hit by a non insured on military road allowed to drive off no ticket. Mayor I thought you wanted the city cleaned up and operated within boundaries of the law . You disappoint me . Again you have allowed the city to stand still or back up doing this will continue to add to the problem. The lower income stay there because we don’t force change
* we should all cancel our insurance since it's ok for some to not have it because it's a hardship. It's a hardship for everyone that pays for it also. If you can't afford the insurance then don't drive period.
* Not happy with this. I pay over $1000 a year for full coverage on a 2014. If I must have it so should everyone else. So maybe I will just stop paying since I would probably be in the low income bracket.
* This is fine as long as when an uninsured person causes an accident they are prosecuted. To me that means jail time. Especially if someone is hurt.
* Something need to be done about the uninsured.
* I was rear ended by 2 vehicles and 1 driver didn't have a license or insurance. Both of them were able to drive away and I don't know if they got tickets.
* Thank you!!
* It's hard enough to buy groceries. People are having a hard enough time. Something has to give sometime. I have insurance but I understand why some people don't. Most people have to rob peter to pay Paul anyway. Especially now that everything is sky rocketing.
* I agree with this*
