Volunteer Feature: Ellen Wentz, a volunteer for 5 years, works behind the scenes!. She makes sure the pantry is stocked for our clients. Ellen also volunteers at the Christmas Box Event. She loves helping others and the relationships she has made with her pantry friends. Thank you, Ellen, for giving so much to Kirk Care.

Did you know Kirk Care is primarily run by volunteers?
Meet the Riggs Boys! They have volunteered for a year at Kirk Care. Doug and Graham make deliveries to clients. Our clients request the foods they would like, and the Riggs pack the boxes and make the deliveries. In addition to delivering, they often pick up the donations from the Dollar Tree in Kirkwood.

Doug and Graham are an amazing team. When asked why they deliver, Doug shared, "As I was raised by both of my parents, community service is an existential imperative. I am drawn to contributing to my community, and I have taught my children to do the same. If we aren’t willing to look out for one another, what’s the point?"
