Visual & Performing Arts HCCS - SW HCC Southwest Arts and Humanities is located in HCC Southwest Fine Arts Center directly across from the Stafford Learning Hub. The Fine Arts Division of Southwest College provides an opportunity for students of all ages, cultures, and backgrounds to experience creativity first hand.

If you are an artist, an actor, a musician, you will find a home here. Whether you have an interest in the arts or are fulfilling a core requirement for transfer, this is the place to be. If you simply have a desire to tap your creative abilities this is where to begin your exploration.

The Houston Community College Visual & Performing Arts Art Department and the West Loop Fine Arts Gallery is proud to host the Fall 2015 Arts Award Recipients Exhibition.

These works have been selected as outstanding across the Houston Community College System. The winning artworks feature a wide range of media, technique and style from all levels and disciplines of HCC’s Fine Art courses.

A selection of these works is currently on display in the West Loop Center Fine Arts Gallery, 5601 West Loop S, Houston, TX 77081.

The Imperial Art Alliance - IAA, formerly Sugar Land Area Artists, is a non-profit organization devoted to promoting the visual arts in the Sugar Land area.

Since its founding by Elaine Fuller in 1983, the IAA has become well known in the community through its various art shows, competitions, workshops and demonstrations. The IAA also awards scholarships to Sugar Land area students who are enrolled in an art program at a local community college.

The show was judged by LSAG judge Bruce Williamson.

Don't miss this production of THE COMEDY OF ERRORS at the Stafford Fine Arts Center, November 18th - 22nd

Performances are November 18 through November 21 [Wed-Sat] at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, November 22 @ 4:00 p.m.

Ticket prices are $7.00 student, faculty, seniors & $10.00 general public.

Reservations are recommended and can be made at 713 718-6369.

Children under the age of 10 are wonderful people and not recommended to try to sit through the production.

Tickets will be at the reception desk for pickup and all reservations are release 15 minutes prior to each performance.

Houston Community College is pleased to present One of two or more, an art exhibition featuring clay sculptures created by Natasha Hovey. The exhibition opens on August 10th in the West Loop Gallery at 5601 West Loop South. The artist’s reception will be held at the gallery on Tuesday, September 8th from 6 to 8pm.

The reception is free and open to the public. The artwork will be available for viewing during campus hours through September 10th.

Impressions 2015 at the West Loop Campus Gallery

Houston Community College is once again partnering with PrintMatters Houston to host Impressions 2015. The West Loop Campus installment is one showing out of 25 of the most prestigious museums and galleries spanning from Houston to Galveston, including the Museum of Fine Arts Houston. It showcases some of the most noted print artists in the Gulf Coast area.

Free and open to the public, Impressions 2015 Artist Reception is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 16. Gallery goers will have a chance to meet with artists and talk to them about their training and techniques. The West Loop Gallery is located at 5601 West Loop South.

The artwork will be available for viewing through the end of July.

Houston Community College is once again partnering with PrintMatters Houston to host Impressions 2015. The West Loop Campus installment is one showing out of 25 of the most prestigious museums and galleries spanning from Houston to Galveston, including the Museum of Fine Arts Houston.
