Good evening Facebook family! My name is Maria Booker and I am so excited to be serving as the Director of Operations for McCottry Foundation. This organization does great work in the community and we are looking forward to including all of YOU in our efforts this year.
That's right - we want to engage with you. Let's start with an easy one. Did you know that January is National Mentoring month AND Human Trafficking Awareness month? Do you know of a great organization in the United States who is working on these issues?
Mention them below and they could win a grant from us this month.
McCottry Foundation is really excited to usher in 2017 with new ideas and great expectations. First, we would like to take this opportunity to say a big THANK YOU for those who are doing the hard work to make a difference in your community, not necessarily through a lot of money, but with determination, sweat, and in the ways in which you sacrifice. We look forward to hearing your stories and working closely with your visions to see where we can supplement your efforts.
New for 2017:
On January 2nd, our search for a Director of Operations has concluded with the hiring of Maria Booker. Maria is a dynamic strategy consultant with over 8 years of experience working with donors, nonprofits, and most importantly, the community. She comes to us with a lot of ideas to make our grant process easier and new age ways to reach underserved communities. She is excited to introduce her plan for a stronger foundation in 2017, with a couple extra surprises throughout the year. Please join us in welcoming her as we are very excited to have her lead our organization.
We would also like to announce that there will be a NEW GRANT CYCLE starting next week. Stay tuned here and on our website for more details.
In this new year, we look to further our mission to improve the qualities of life in families all across this great nation. Stay Tuned!
