My mom left behind the pain and suffering of Alzheimer's one year ago today. To say that I miss her is an understatement, but I will honor her memory without great sadness but by continuing this ministry I started a while back making fidget mats and other items to make life with Alzheimer's a little bit more tolerable, for both the person with it and those that care for them. I have not been good at updating this page but will make a commitment to be better! More to come very soon!

Created this purple themed fidget matt for a lady where Mom lives who loves purple!

This was the first fidget mat I made. Put it together while mom was in the hospital with her hip surgery back in September. I recently added the crocheted purple and orange flower, thanks to Soule Hunter! Mom loves holding on to it and keeping it on her lap for comfort. I'm still working on more!

Our first run of Fancy Fidget mats were delivered today to the Skilled Nursing side of Summit Hills Senoir Living in Spartanburg, SC where my mom currently lives. I gave one to a lady who barely spoke but she said "thank you" and the nurses were shocked! Made me feel good. Another women was ripping buttons off her own shirt, so I hope the fidget mat will calm her (and I hope I sewed the buttons on tight enough for her grip!)
