Earlier this week, schools across the district learned the importants of Flag Day! June 14 marked the day back in 1777 when the Continental Congress first adopted the flag. This week our students celebrated Flag Day and learned that:

The 50 Stars remind us of our unity as a diverse nation today.
The 13 Stripes honor our beginnings and the brave steps taken toward freedom.
The Colors carry a challenge: Red for courage, white for high ideals, and blue for justice.

More than anything, Flag Day reminds us that we are all part of the same story. It's a day to celebrate our shared commitment to liberty, equality, and building a better, kinder community together.

Did you know? 14% of the Stamford Public Schools Class of 2026 are also members of the prestigious National Honor Society! Across the district, a total of 160 extraordinary seniors earned this honor, including:

43 students from AITE
69 students from Stamford High
48 students from Westhill

National Honor Society membership is a major achievement that recognizes students who demonstrate outstanding excellence in four key pillars: Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character.

Please join us in celebrating these exceptional student leaders for their hard work and dedication to our community!

☕ Thank You for Joining Our Final Café con la Super of the School Year!

Thank you to all the parents, families, community partners, and Stamford Public Schools staff who joined us for our final Café con la Super of the 2025-2026 school year.
It was wonderful to come together to discuss Summer Safety, share valuable resources, and strengthen the connection between our schools and families.

A special thank you to our community partners, including Stamford Downtown, Domus, Stamford Parks & Recreation, Stamford Police Department, and Stamford Big Picture Learning Academy, for sharing important information and opportunities with our families.

We would also like to extend our deepest appreciation to Dr. Tamu Lucero, Superintendent of Stamford Public Schools, for her leadership, dedication, and unwavering support of family engagement. During the event, Dr. Lucero was presented with a commemorative plaque in recognition of her commitment to fostering strong relationships between schools, families, and the community.

Thank you, Dr. Lucero, for making every family feel welcomed, valued, and heard.

Have a safe, enjoyable, and restful summer! We look forward to seeing everyone again in the new school year.
