Hear from Jaeden Clark, one of hundreds of students who walked out! “We Stanford students will not sit idly by while we watch them champion people who enabled the murder of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians in Gaza.” From ICE’s killings and kidnappings to the Israeli genocidal machine through Project Nimbus, “our walkout is about holding tech leaders accountable.”

We the students who walked out instead chose to be in community at the People’s Commencement. There, we listened to speeches by Mahmoud Khalil, Dr. Subeh, and Eva Jones. “It was just great being surrounded by a group of people who made the collective decision that, yep, this is what we’re gonna stand for.” ❤️‍🔥🥳 jaeden

Shout out to all the graduates today who walked out today. To all the graduates who chose conscience rather than comfort, we thank you. Today, Sundar Pichai was met with the sight of hundreds of students who showed they could not be allured anymore with the talk of a dollar or rapidly expanding AI.

Nothing that was done today could have been done without the students, faculty, and community members who spread the word and who showed up. We congratulate the graduates as they continue on their next step beyond Stanford. To the graduates of today who joined us. might your future steps to the future continue to be guided towards doing whats right.

Today, we denied the speech of a genocidal company’s CEO. We walked towards our People’s Commencement. We marched into imagining a better future for our education.

To the graduates, we wish you a bright future.
To everyone else staying around, we’ll see you again next year ;) Stay tuned.

Learn about Mahmoud Khalil’s story as told by !

He missed his graduation. On Sunday, he’s coming to celebrate ours. 🎓🇵🇸

A year ago this spring, Khalil was supposed to walk at Columbia. Instead he was in an ICE detention center in Louisiana. 104 days. No criminal charge. His son was born while he was inside. His classmates graduated without him. His offense was speaking up for Palestine, and his case is now headed to the Supreme Court.

Class of 2026, this is your day. Walk the processional. Take the photos. Hug your people.

Then, when the keynote begins, do something you’ll actually remember. The official program is offering you a CEO speech you’ll forget by lunchtime. We’re offering you an hour with your classmates and a man who knows exactly what a graduation is worth, because the government took his away.

From installing 40 Flock cameras on campus that sell your data to being designed a hostile campus by CAIR (again), choosing the Google CEO as the commencement speaker was hardly surprising. We have a lot to protest as students, and that’s by design. They would prefer us silent as Stanford admin simultaneously compromises student life and safety, limits freedom of assembly from 12-1pm, and disinvests in our communities.

But we can fight for what we deserve. Walk out this commencement to show Stanford admin you refuse to normalize their actions. Walk towards the People’s Commencement and the just future that companies like Google fight against.

Sundar Pichai’s Google operates abroad, aiding the IOF in committing genocide in Gaza, while using the same tools built for the war machine on US soil, against the US’.s own citizens.

Google cloud stories ICE’s surveilance data, as Google further suppresses apps developed by community organizers to track ICE agents.

Solidarity with Palestine against US Imperialism is solidarity with communities in Minneapolis, LA, and further who face ICE Terror. Seniors, this is the time to take a stand.
