The City of Stanton would like to extend our condolences to the family of Retired Chief of Police Jose Patino. Sadly, Joe passed away Friday, January 8th.

Joe always did so much for the City of Stanton and the Community.
Please show your love and respect. A police procession honoring Joe will be on Tuesday, January 12th at 10 am in the downtown corridor of Main Street, people may view that procession from the sidewalks.

"Joe dedicated his life to serving and protecting others. For 36 years he worked for the Montcalm County Sheriff’s Department retiring as a Detective Lieutenant, during that time he also worked for the Edmore Police Department. After his retirement from the Sheriff’s office, Joe served as the Chief of Police for the City of Stanton, retiring this past September. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and Command Officers Association of Michigan." -Simpson Family Funeral home.
