We're a non-profit that supports people with intellectual disabilities and mental health challenges.

Skills offers a wide variety of programs, including: residential group homes, day programs, employment services, vocational training, lifesharing support, respite services, behavioral support, site-based and mobile psychiatric rehabilitation programs, peer support programs, and a network of mental health drop-in centers. Skills is one of the largest human service providers in central Pennsylvania,

offering services in 17 counties throughout the region and employing approximately 1,000 people in a variety of professional, clinical, and direct support roles.

Skills of Central PA is currently seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in Blair County.

To make the process easy and accessible, walk-in interviews will be taking place on Monday, June 1, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

We had a wonderful Memorial Day picnic on Monday at our Main Street house in Lilly! We were excited to host staff and individuals from other area homes for a day full of fun, food, and community.

Our guests enjoyed plenty of delicious food, and we kept the energy high with lots of festive activities:

Skills of Central PA would like to recognize Officer Tyler Corter of the Williamsport Bureau of Police for being honored during the 1st Annual Mental Health Awareness Night that took place at Shaw Park in Williamsport, PA on May 7.

Officer Corter was recognized for his compassion, professionalism, and dedication while responding to a recent mental health crisis. His calm communication, empathy, and commitment to helping others reflect the importance of collaboration and understanding when supporting individuals experiencing mental health challenges.

We are grateful for community partners and first responders who continue to make a positive difference through kindness, compassion, and service.

A few of our members had a wonderful time attending the Centre Bowling Banquet on May 7! 🎳🏆

The evening was filled with great food, laughter, awards, and celebration as bowlers came together to recognize a fun and successful season. We are so proud of everyone who participated and showed such teamwork, sportsmanship, and enthusiasm throughout the year.

Fun, games, and plenty of smiles! 🎉 Members from Skills of Central PA recently enjoyed an exciting outing to Carlisle Sports Emporium where they spent the day making memories, sharing laughs, and enjoying activities together. From arcade games to friendly competition, it was a day filled with fun and connection!
