Republicans across the nation have spent the last year censoring speech in schools, banning books, stripping individuals of autonomy, and creating laws that directly target peaceful protestors.

If you haven’t been paying attention, now is a great time to start. Vote early all throughout the 2024 election cycle for Democrats that support the 1st Amendment, an the individual freedoms that come with it.

Voting by absentee ballot provides a convenient way to participate in an election, especially if you are unable to go to the polling station in person. To guarantee that your ballot arrives on time, it is crucial to request it early!

Taking this proactive step can guarantee that your vote is counted and your voice is heard. Your vote is your future, so be sure to cast your ballot in 2024!

Last week, GA House Democrats Rep. Draper and Rep. Roberts introduced a bill that will allow citizens to petition for ballot initiatives in the state of Georgia.

Democrats are working to put power back in the hands of the people in Georgia to ensure that our state reflects what the PEOPLE want, and not the interests of PACs, Corporations, or a guy named Donald Trump.

Our current State Senator and both current State House Representatives voted to expand mandatory cash bail to non-violent offenses, having a significant impact on our student population as well as low-income individuals throughout the southeast.

When individuals with financial resources are able to return home to their families and jobs, those with lower incomes remain in jail for similar offenses. Rather than rejoining their communities, these individuals are left with the choice of either pleading guilty (even if they are innocent) or enduring lengthy waits for their day in court. Research indicates that those who remain incarcerated due to inability to pay bail are 25% more likely to plead guilty and face harsher penalties compared to those who can afford to post bail and secure their release.

Urge to VETO SB63 and elect individuals this year that have your welfare (and education) in mind.
