How will you enjoy the longest day of the year?

PRCS is joining Parks and Recreation Departments around Virginia for Play All Day VA on Sunday, June 21, which marks the official start of astronomical summer.

It's a day of celebration, and the VRPS: Virginia Recreation & Park Society has organized a statewide initiative to provide free programs and services for the community from sunrise to sunset.

PRCS is inviting residents to make time to play at multiple free activities and programs at parks and centers across the County.

Plus, enjoy free admission* to open recreation, indoor aquatics, and community centers on this day.

*Additional fees for programs still apply. Outdoor pools are not included in this promotion.

In Observance of Memorial Day, The Senior Center at Cascades will be closed on Monday, May 25.

In observance of the Memorial Day holiday, Loudoun County Parks, Recreation and Community Services announces changes in upcoming operating hours.

The PRCS administrative office, park administrative offices, senior centers, adult day centers, community centers, the Round Hill Aquatic Center, and the Franklin Park Arts Center will be closed on Monday, May 25, 2026.

· Parks and Nature/Visitor Centers

Park grounds, including trails, gardens, playgrounds, off-leash areas, skate parks, courts, and fields, are open to the public from dawn to dusk.

The Banshee Reeks Nature Preserve Visitor Center is open from 8:00am to 8:00pm, the Claude Moore Park Visitor Center is open from 9:00am to 5:00pm, and the Hal and Berni Hanson Regional Park Nature Center is open from 10:00am to 4:00pm on Memorial Day.

· PRCS Recreation Centers and Pools

The Ashburn Recreation & Community Center, Claude Moore Recreation & Community Center and Dulles South Recreation and Community Center are open from 11:00am to 6:00pm (no Kid Kare, Child Care, or Preschool).

Updated: The Franklin Regional Park pool and the Lovettsville Community Center pool are closed due to the weather.

The talented members of the Cascades Senior Center Knit & Crochet Group were proudly honored with a Resolution of Commendation in recognition of years of dedication, creativity, and community service from the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors in partnership with Chariots of Honor. Through countless handmade items and fundraising efforts, this remarkable group has touched lives, supported the Senior Center, and demonstrated the true spirit of giving back. Congratulations on this well-deserved honor!

The Loudoun County Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services (PRCS) is inviting residents to complete an online Community Needs Assessment Survey. Your input will help shape future parks, facilities, and recreation program offerings across the county.

A statistically valid survey of residents through the mail has been completed. PRCS will continue collecting additional feedback through the online survey until Friday, May 8, 2026, to ensure all interested residents have an opportunity to share their perspectives.

The online survey will complement the results of the statistically valid survey and help PRCS better understand community priorities. This input will support the department’s ongoing commitment to providing quality, accessible, amenity-rich park and recreation spaces, along with meaningful programs and services.

Participation in this survey includes the option to be entered into a drawing for a chance to win one (1) $500 prepaid Visa gift card upon full completion of the survey.

Members of the Cascades Senior Center proudly showcased their incredible talents during our annual Cultural Talent Show! From music and dance to heartfelt performances, the event highlighted the diversity, creativity, and spirit of our members. Everyone truly enjoyed the amazing performances by both members and staff — thank you to all who participated and helped make the event such a memorable celebration!
