Fridays are better with flowers 😁💐

Every week, we pick someone from our Paws & Petals nominations who has been making a difference in our community. This week, that someone is Ashley! We missed Ashley and Rick from Lundstrom Florist on our delivery today, but they provided us with this beautiful bouquet!

Ashley's nomination said " I would like to nominate Ashley, Victim Advocate for the Whiteside County State's Attorney's Office. For several years, I have had the privilege of working with Ashley in supporting victims and their families as they navigate the aftermath of violent crimes. Ashley has consistently been an invaluable resource to my office, investigators, and the survivors of these crimes.
I have witnessed Ashley demonstrate exceptional compassion, understanding, and dedication when working with individuals who have been profoundly impacted by crime. She provides steadfast support and guidance, helping victims and their families navigate the often complex and challenging criminal justice system in pursuit of justice.
Without question, Ashley is an empathetic and devoted advocate for some of the most vulnerable members of our community. Her commitment to serving others, coupled with her professionalism and genuine care, makes her highly deserving of this recognition.

Thank you Ashley for being a devoted advocate for victim's and their families in our community ❤️

You guys know what day it is!! 🐾💐

Every week, we pick someone from our Paws & Petals nominations who has been making a difference in our community. This week, that special someone was Taylor, you guys might have seen her posts on social media lately, she has been very busy helping someone out!

We were so happy to surprise her with a beautiful bouquet, generously provided by Lundstrom Florist

Taylor's nomination said "I would like to nominate Taylor. Over six days, this girl has truly busted her butt to help get a veteran’s home back in better shape before he returns home. But from doing lawn work and laundry to reaching out to the community and helping raise over $800 in donations to get this gentleman’s electricity turned back on and his past-due balance caught up, she has gone above and beyond!
I know Taylor had help along the way, and every single person who stepped up deserves recognition. But Taylor was the one who saw someone in need, put the word out, rallied people together, and made sure this gentleman had the support he needed to get back on his feet.
We need more people like Taylor in this world. She is one of the most genuine, caring people and is always looking out for those around her! She has such a big heart, and I can’t think of anyone more deserving of this recognition! ❤️"

Of course I had to go and wish my friend Mister Twister a happy birthday at the CGH rehab center where him and his mom work and drop off some donations for his collection drive! There is still time to stop off donations for Gianna's House Pregnancy Resource Center to help Twister celebrate! 🩵

Sometimes the best part of a difficult day is knowing who is waiting for you on the other side 💙

While kids are downstairs completing their interviews at April House Children's Advocacy Center, Millie waits (impatiently 😆) at the top of the stairs waiting for them to come back. She is ready to greet them with a tail wag, a smile, and cuddles.

Well… now Millie is giving back to YOU!

She dropped off these ridiculously cute little plushies for us to hand out, and these girls were absolutely PUMPED to get the very first one. 😂💙

We love this community. We love Millie. And apparently, we’re slowly turning this drive-thru into a stuffed-animal distribution center. 😂🐾

Paws and Petals day was a success today at Sterling High School!

Nothing makes us happier than recognizing the people who make our community a better place, and this week we got to surprise Alex with a beautiful bouquet generously provided by Lundstrom Florist!

Alex's nomination said "Alex is the Associate Principal at Sterling High School. She goes above and beyond for our staff, students and families. She is compassionate, kind, a problem solver and has a positive attitude. 💙💛"

Thank you Alex for making Sterling High School a better and kinder place!

One of my favorite games to play is “catch the wipers after mom leaves them on!”

This is a game Millie has played ever since she was a puppy and I finally caught it on video! I do want to let everyone know she does only jump up for the first initial swipe which we always stayed parked for and then she sits in her seat because she knows she has to be safe in the car 😁

Let's help out Mister Twister for his upcoming birthday 🥳

IT’S MY BIRTHDAY MONTH!!!! 🥳🥳

In honor of me turning 6 on August 31st, we are collecting donations for Gianna’s House now until September 11th!

Gianna’s House is a non-profit organization that offers free and confidential support for pregnant women and new parents, including infant supplies (diapers, wipes, clothing), educational programs( parenting and budgeting classes), and emotional and spiritual guidance (counseling). Their mission is to support women and families facing unplanned pregnancies with physical, emotional, and educational resources.

Let’s give back to this wonderful non-profit organization that our community has to offer!
