⚡️WE HAVE BEEN BUSY, OHIO VALLEY!⚡️

It has been a minute since our last update, but that is only because we have been working incredibly hard behind the scenes to bring the JeffCo Community Playground to life!

Here are a few of the many things our team has been up to lately:

💙 Incredible Community Support: We have received multiple generous donations from our amazing community! (Stay tuned- we have some very special donor shoutouts coming your way soon!)

🎒 Hitting the Community Trail: We partnered up with Special Connections and attended all of the local back-to-school events, sharing our mission and connecting with so many wonderful families.

🎡 Jefferson County Fair: We had a fantastic time at Inclusion Day and the Special Olympics Unified Livestock Show spreading the word about universally accessible play!

🤝 Pathways to Connection: We were honored to present our playground vision to our local special needs parents, caregivers, and support professionals.

And guess what? We have so many more fun things up our sleeves! We are more excited than ever and absolutely cannot wait for this dream to become a reality for Steubenville and the entire Ohio Valley.

🌀 EQUIPMENT SPOTLIGHT: The ZoomTwist! 🌀

Get ready to reach new heights and spin into action! Today, we are shining a spotlight on an incredible piece of equipment coming to the playground: The ZoomTwist.

Featuring a massive, cone-shaped rope net design built on a spinning base, this structure takes playground fun to the next level.

Here is why kids are going to love it:

🌀Spin & Climb: Kids can challenge their agility, balance, and coordination by scaling the dynamic rope webs!

🌀Continuous Action: The entire structure spins on its base, allowing children to enjoy the thrill of motion while they play.

🌀Cooperative Play: It takes teamwork to keep the ZoomTwist spinning, encouraging kids of all abilities to work together, communicate, and make new friends.

Whether they are scrambling up the outside ropes or enjoying the ride from the lower platform, the ZoomTwist is guaranteed to be a community favorite.

When we asked Lily Jayne what she is looking forward to the most, her answer was simple but powerful: she is so excited to have a safe place for kids of ALL abilities to play together!

🌟 EQUIPMENT SPOTLIGHT: Swings for EVERYONE! 🌟

There is nothing quite like the feeling of soaring through the air on a swing, but traditional swing sets can unfortunately leave some children sitting on the sidelines, or the glaring summer sun can cut playtime short.

At the JeffCo Community Playground, we believe every child deserves to fly! That is why our park design features Two Swing-Sets with Shade! ☀️🌳

These aren't just your standard swings. Protected by large, cooling shade structures, these sets will include a variety of options so everyone can join in the fun:

Inclusive Swing Seats: Providing full body and back support for those who need it.

Generation Swings: Allowing an adult and toddler to swing face-to-face together!

Baby Swings & Belt Swings: The playground classics everyone loves.
