Drive Defensively: Slow down and leave extra following distance to avoid crashes.
Prevent Grass Fires: Avoid parking your vehicle on dry grass (hot exhaust can ignite the ground), and ensure all ci******es are completely extinguished.

We greatly appreciate all the donations we have received here lately with cases of water and Gatorade. We have received numerous phone calls about what we need and what people can donate to help out. We have plenty of water and Gatorade at this time, if you feel the need to donate to the fire department please consider sending checks or cash to help us fix a few things on our trucks and equipment. Once again thank you Stratford for always having our backs and taking care of us!

Improving Outcomes, Together extends beyond medicine. It’s a collective responsibility that involves investing in the people behind the care with fair pay, safe staffing levels, mental health resources, leadership that listens and acts, and opportunities for professional growth.
This week, we recognize the people behind the patch and reaffirm our commitment, as partners and communities, to Improving Outcomes, Together.

It has been a crazy and busy last few evenings around the Texas and Oklahoma areas!

On Thursday (5/14/2026) at approx. 6:30pm we were paged out to assist with a fire between Kerrick & Boise City. We called Sunray Volunteer Fire Department to assist us, There were multiple other fire departments on scene, tractors and disks motor graders, etc. We returned to the fire station around approx. 3 am Friday morning.

On Friday (5/15/2026) at approx. 8pm we were paged to assist Dalhart with a fire, while en route we were called to another fire off of the state line road North of Stratford. We called Sunray to assist us, while they were en route they responded to downed power lines with a fence on fire in Stratford. After taking care of that fire, Sunray met up with us and we were able to extinguish the part of the fire North of Stratford. We were then called to assist Dalhart FD with a fire off of 296 & W High Lonesome. We returned to the station at approx. 4am Saturday morning.

As always, we greatly appreciate Stratford EMS for ALWAYS having our backs on any call we have no matter how big or small. They are always there to have our backs!!!

Also a big thank you to Brad and Brent Reed for bringing drinks out for us as well as a water tank to help refill fire trucks. Another thank you to Brian Mungia and Sherman County motorgraders and Wesley Miller who helped with another motorgrader and water tanker.
Thank you to everyone for your continued support! Pray for Rain Stratford!
