Position Type: Part-Time (24–30 hours per week)
Salary: $25,000 annually
The Baldwin County Child Advocacy Center (CARE House, Inc.) is seeking a passionate, energetic, and community-minded professional to serve as our Part-Time Prevention & Community Engagement Coordinator. This position plays a vital role in increasing community awareness about child abuse prevention, promoting the services of the Child Advocacy Center, and delivering engaging prevention education programs to children throughout Baldwin County.
The ideal candidate is comfortable speaking to groups, working with children and schools, building community relationships, and representing the CAC at outreach events and public presentations.

Position Summary:
The Prevention & Community Engagement Coordinator will coordinate and deliver child abuse prevention and internet safety education programs to school-aged children using age-appropriate presentations, puppet shows, and interactive activities. The coordinator will also strengthen community awareness and engagement through outreach events, presentations, partnerships, and public education efforts.
This position requires creativity, strong communication skills, flexibility, and a genuine commitment to protecting children and supporting families.
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct prevention education programs for school-aged children throughout Baldwin County
Present internet safety education to students, parents, educators, and community groups
Utilize puppet shows and other interactive educational tools to teach personal safety and prevention concepts
Coordinate and participate in community awareness activities, outreach events, and prevention campaigns
Represent the Child Advocacy Center at community meetings, health fairs, school events, civic organizations, churches, and other public functions
Build and maintain positive relationships with schools, educators, community agencies, and local partners
Assist with Child Abuse Prevention Month activities and special awareness initiatives
Develop and maintain educational and promotional materials for prevention and outreach programs
Maintain accurate program records, attendance data, and reports for grant and funding purposes
Recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with prevention and awareness activities
Participate in staff meetings, trainings, fundraising events, and community activities, including occasional evenings or weekends
Promote the mission and services of the Baldwin County Child Advocacy Center throughout the community
Qualifications:
High school diploma required; college coursework in education, social work, communications, child development, or related field preferred
Experience working with children, schools, or community outreach programs preferred
Strong public speaking and presentation skills
Ability to engage children through interactive and age-appropriate teaching methods
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Comfortable speaking with parents, educators, and community leaders
Computer proficiency and ability to maintain accurate records and reports
Self-motivated, dependable, and flexible with scheduling needs
Passion for child abuse prevention and community education
Preferred Skills:
Experience with prevention education or child advocacy work
Bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply

Work Schedule:
This is a part-time position requiring approximately 24–30 hours per week. Some evening and weekend hours may be required for community events and outreach activities.
