Hi Summerdale community,

I have not posted in a few weeks, so I wanted to share an update on how things are going at Town Hall.

Since being sworn in, I have met with our staff to introduce myself and learn more about their roles. We have had frank and honest conversations, and I feel those discussions have gone very well. I am pleased with how things are moving so far.

Recent events
• Attended the Summerdale School Veterans Day event on November 11
• Met with the YMCA to discuss potential partnerships for community activities
• Held our inaugural Christmas Tree Lighting, with strong community attendance
• Hosted the Christmas Parade, featuring music, 33 vendors, 5 food trucks, 28 parade floats, and plenty of candy for the kids

Municipal updates
• Moved workshop meetings to occur before Council meetings to improve efficiency. When larger discussions are needed, we will call a special meeting
• Working with DataTrust to revamp the town website to improve usability and provide more timely updates
• In discussions to begin live streaming Council meetings so residents can better see how your elected officials are working

I have also met with several residents and local business owners to hear their ideas and concerns, and to discuss what we can do to make Summerdale an even better place to live. I have asked our Events Director to focus on what small towns do best, including parades, festivals, music events, and possibly a movie night when weather allows.

These are some of the things we are already doing and working toward.

As your Mayor, please know that I am at Town Hall each day during regular hours. I welcome you to stop by or call anytime. I enjoy hearing directly from the community and working together to move Summerdale forward.

Mayor of Summerdale

Thank you Summerdale.

Tonight the results came in 196 to 140 and I am humbled by the trust you have placed in me. I want to thank my family, my friends, my supporters and most of all God for guiding me through this journey. I also want to thank those who did not believe in me or vote for me. I hear you too and I will work just as hard for you as I will for those who supported me.

This is not about one person. It is about our town and our future. I promise to serve with accountability, transparency and faith. I will be here to support, guide and listen to everyone.

Together we can move Summerdale forward.

This campaign has always been about the people. About making things clear, honest, and fair. No games. No secrets.

Just a better path forward.

08/24/2025

We are almost there. Your vote is your voice. And right now, Summerdale needs to speak louder than ever.

Vote August 26. Let’s move forward.

08/23/2025

In the last few years, I have attended nearly every council and workshop meeting. Not to criticize, but to understand.

Now I am ready to lead, with knowledge and purpose.

If nothing changes, nothing changes.

This is your moment to speak up for better roads, permitting process, water, taxes, bills, better communication, and better decisions.

August 26 is coming.
