🇺🇸 Freedom is not Free" ret. US .S. Air Force Colonel Walter Hitchcock. Today and every day, we should honor our veterans. It’s never been more clear how grateful we should all be for their dedication, courage, and unwavering commitment to our country. Thank you to all who have served — we owe you our deepest respect and appreciation. ❤️🤍💙

Dear Summit Residents: it's imperative you get out and vote on Tuesday, 11/4, for a team that cares about you! If you've been happy with how safe and clean our town has become, please vote "TogetherforSummit. They have had bipartisan support since the day they got elected because they focus on our town, Summit residents, and the issues you care about. We need more collaboration, not less.

🌎⚡ All Things Energy & Environment! ⚡🌿
Just attended the NJBIA Energy & Environment Conference, and it was excellent! The discussions made it clear that you can’t have one without the other — energy and environment go hand in hand when shaping a sustainable and resilient future for New Jersey and beyond.

We need both a portfolio of energy options and innovative clean energy solutions for thoughtful environmental stewardship. The speakers and panelists shared incredible insights that inspire real action.

A big thank you to NJBIA for organizing such a valuable and engaging event! 👏

I'm proud to support the Together for Summit team this November. Councilwoman Delia Hamlet and Councilman, Kevin D Smallwood were leaders that listened in 2023 when the community rejected overdevelopment. Today they are keeping our town safe, clean, and moving forward. Not only would we have a monster building downtown If Kevin and Delia had not won, but their opponents would NOT have hired two new police which have been instrumental in keeping our town safe. They would NOT have passed the Resident Protection Ordinance that holds convicted car thieves responsible by fining them when they are found guilty. They also would NOT have supported the camping ordinance that keeps our green clean and safe for residents. And thank you to Councilwoman Hamlet and the Mayor's Homeless Task Force for helping our unhoused individuals and treating them with dignity by working with groups to house them, rather than let them sleep outside and pretend it's humane. Delia, Kevin, and Tom's opponents also did NOT support Republicans efforts in 2024 to speak out against the A4/S50 that will overdevelop Summit and all the towns around us. A bill that our City of Summit's Affordable Housing attorney told us to speak out against because it was a terrible bill for towns (not a single town, Mayor, or Council was asked for their opinion - the bill was crafted by Fair Share, builders, and the Democrat leadership in Trenton who pushed their partisan agenda during lame duck session when they promised weeks earlier at the League of Municipalities they wouldn't ). With that said, SMDC candidates WOULD support a $1000K increase on residents by approving a BOE budget of a 9% increase - despite saying that a small 2% municipal increase is reckless (our school budget gets THIRTY PERCENT MORE money than our local municipal budget - why would we support candidates who do not support making sure our town is properly funded?). That doesn't make sense. Delia, Kevin, and Tom's opponents have also told the community that the Council manages the school budget which they know is NOT true. Delia's opponent specifically wrote an LTE stating how she would get involved in the BOE - which is the ultimate politicization of an appointed board. We need leaders who not only know what the job of Council is, but Summit residents deserve honest leadership. Voters- please watch the debate and make informed decisions on who would truly represent you. Vote

Early Voting Has Started!!!

🚨🗳️ EARLY IN-PERSON VOTING STARTS TODAY! 🗳️🚨

Over the past three years, the Together for Summit team has delivered real results for our community:

✅ Fought overdevelopment and preserved the character of our neighborhoods.
✅ Made Summit safer by hiring more police officers and reducing crime.
✅ Reached functional zero homelessness — compassionately housing and supporting every unhoused neighbor.
✅ Invested in long-neglected infrastructure, parks, and recreation spaces so families have places to gather, play, and grow.
✅ Cleaned and revitalized our train station and bus stops, creating safer, more welcoming gateways to our city.
✅ Restored Briant Pond after years of advocacy — transforming it into the beautiful community treasure it was always meant to be.

We’re proud of how far Summit has come — but there’s still more to do. We’ll continue to be advocates for all 22,000 residents — Republicans, Democrats, and Independents — because we are truly better Together for Summit.
