Happy Father's Day from The OG SP Duck Library! 🦆💙

Today we're celebrating all the dads, grandpas, stepdads, bonus dads, father figures, and the moms who are doing dad duty too.

Looking around the flock today, we've got:

🦁 Protective dads
🐧 Cool dads
🦈 Adventure dads
🐸 Dad-joke dads
🦇 "Ask your mother" dads

And somewhere in there is a parent who just wants to sit quietly for five minutes.

A special shoutout to Mr. OG Duck Library, who has spent the last few months repairing, upgrading, assembling, relocating, and generally enabling the flock's increasingly ambitious real estate projects.

And to all the moms carrying both titles, doing double duty, and showing up every day—you deserve to be celebrated too. 💙

It's a busy day in Sun Prairie! 🦆☀️

Whether you're headed to the Sun Prairie Farmers Market , Strawberryfest, Sun Prairie Area School Community Organization's Race Through the Prairie, the Community Mural project, garage sales, or just out enjoying the sunshine, don't forget to swing by and visit the flock!

Today the flock received something special. 🦆💛

Along with some new friends, stickers, and tiny treasures, we found a note from someone who wanted us to know that the Duck Library has brightened their days.

When we started this little project, we hoped it would make people smile.

Seeing how much joy, kindness, creativity, and community have grown around this tiny library has been incredible.

So to everyone who has taken a duck, left a duck, decorated a duck, traded a duck, donated a duck, or simply stopped by to see what was new...

The flock may be small, but this community is pretty amazing.

Honestly, it's hard to argue with that wisdom.

The tiny ducks are enjoying the pool, the flock is fully stocked, and everyone seems ready for a couple days of sunshine, adventures, and questionable decision-making.

Whatever your weekend plans are, may they be just weird enough to be memorable.

We came home last night to an open doored, empty library with ducks scattered on the sidewalk and down the street. It's extremely disheartening when this happens.

We don't let it stop us from bringing joy to the neighborhood. We take a night, regroup and restock the next morning. This morning, I found a page of duck jokes in the library. This is why we do this.

Thank you for whomever stopped by last night. Thank you for bringing joy to my morning. It was greatly appreciated.

Overnight developments at The OG SP Duck Library have raised several questions. 🦆👀

The flamingos have settled in.

The tiny ducks are enjoying the pool.

Everything seemed perfectly normal until...

👁️ ...that appeared.

We are currently unsure if it is:
✨ A guardian
✨ A visitor from another dimension
✨ The pool lifeguard
✨ An eldritch being disguised as arts and crafts

The tiny ducks seem unconcerned, which is honestly the most alarming part.

For now, we're choosing to welcome our new floating friend and avoid direct eye contact.

The OG SP Duck Library has apparently been added to the royal tour schedule.

Her Majesty arrived sometime within the last hour, accompanied by exactly zero advance notice and a great deal of sparkle. 👑🦆✨

Current status:
👑 Royal duck present
🦩 Flamingo entourage nearby
🦆 Local flock attempting to act normal
😳 Local flock failing to act normal

We don't know where she came from.
We don't know how long she's staying.
We do know that everyone is suddenly on their best behavior.

Long live the Queen.

This is my favorite kind of "Leave a Duck." 🦆✨

Not just a duck.

A duck with style.
A duck with personality.
A duck that clearly spent way too much time getting ready.

We've got rhinestones.
We've got accessories.
We've got ducks serving looks.

Every once in a while, someone leaves behind a duck that makes the whole flock a little more fabulous, and honestly, we love to see it.

The first day of summer break has arrived, and the flock is already settling into vacation mode.

Current summer activities include:

🏖️ Lounging by the tiny duck pool
🌈 Collecting brightly colored friends
📚 Absolutely not reading assigned summer homework
🐝 Buzzing around with questionable plans
🦄 Believing anything is possible

The tiny ducks have claimed prime poolside real estate, the big ducks are enjoying the slower pace, and nobody knows what day it is anymore.

Honestly? Goals.
