Ruby's Kids

Ruby's Kids Ruby's Kids started in honor of our mother who passed from cancer. She knew the importance of family, so we help families in need during the holidays!!

Hi everyone,

Ruby's Kids was started by my nine siblings, myself and our respective spouses in 2013. We collect donations in order to help families in need during the Holidays. We started this tradition to honor our mother, Ruby D. Brewington, who passed from cancer in 2013. Our mother, Ruby, had a beautiful Christian heart and enjoyed seeing smiles on the faces of everyone she encountered. Every

year at Christmas she chose a child's name off the Christmas tree where she worked. These were children who were in need of receiving gifts and food. She absolutely loved and embodied the giving spirit, especially at Christmas. So, my family and I do our best to honor her daily. We decided to make her giving spirit live on through us, Ruby's Kids. We believe that all people (children and adults) should have a happy, stress free and magical Christmas Day. Like the ones we had growing up. We want to spread joy to families by collecting donations to provide as many families as possible with gifts and a Christmas dinner. We will accept donations from now until Thursday December 16, 2021. We traditionally start all of the shopping for these families on December 17th, which was our mothers birthday. We hope that you will donate and share with your friends and families as well. All donations go toward paying for gifts and food for the families that we are given. We greatly appreciate any and all donations. Thank you for your help and support,

Our Story

Ruby was a loving wife and mother of 11 children. Her mission in life was to bring joy and happiness to those around her. She took full advantage of the holiday season and gave back to those in need. Unfortunately, Ruby's mission was cut short in 2013 when she lost her 3 year battle with stage 4 colon cancer. Fortunately, however, her giving traditions were passed along to her children. This year, Ruby's Kids would like to invite and encourage you to also continue in her giving tradition by donating funds to help us make some unsuspecting families have an amazing Christmas morning. Every child deserves to experience the magic of Christmas morning! Your donations will go to providing gifts, clothing, and Christmas dinner to these families. Please give what you can as anything will help. Thank you so much!
