YARD WASTE DROP OFF IS OPEN FOR THE SEASON 🍂

The St. Clair Township yard waste site reopened September 1, and it’s free for township residents, including everyone here in Swansea.

Hours: Monday through Saturday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. now through December 31
Location: 107 Service St., Swansea

A few things to know before you go:
🌿 Empty your bags. Paper and plastic bags can’t be left behind, so please dump your leaves and clippings loose and take the bags home with you.

🌿 Residents only. This site is a service for households, not for lawn care, landscaping, or tree services. No dump trucks or dump trailers, please.

🌿 What’s accepted: leaves, grass clippings, garden waste, twigs, shrub trimmings, and small limbs (under 6 feet long and under 4 inches thick).

🌿 What’s not: household trash, food waste, construction material, railroad ties, gravel, or diseased plants.

Keeping the site clean and resident-focused is what allows the township to keep offering it. Thanks for helping us do that.

A NEW LITTLE LIBRARY

Come visit and read from our Little Library in Swansea's Clinton Hill, just beside the pavilion.

We celebrated with a ribbon cutting ceremony last week and a reading for the kids who attended.

Check out the video with a few words from local authors Kelly Shemwell, who wrote Ty's Hollow, and Meet the Pegs author Jasmine Krezanoski, Mayor Jeff Parker, Swansea Trustee Natalie Jablonski, Park Board President Lisa Wilson, and the Agne Family, who made this possible.
