What does Iowa's new property tax reform mean for Kossuth County?

The Iowa Legislature recently passed major property tax reform that will change how counties budget beginning in 2027.

Under the new law, county property tax revenue growth will generally be limited each year, while allowing additional revenue from new construction and other new valuation.

What does that mean for Kossuth County?

✅ More predictable property tax revenue growth.

✅ Budget decisions will require even greater fiscal discipline.

✅ County leaders will need to carefully prioritize spending while continuing to provide essential services like roads, public safety, and emergency response.

Responsible government isn't about spending more. It's about making every taxpayer dollar count.

As your candidate for Kossuth County Supervisor, I believe in transparency, fiscal responsibility, and thoughtful budgeting that protects taxpayers while keeping Kossuth County strong.

Today, we celebrate 250 years of the American spirit.

For two and a half centuries, our nation has been shaped by the courage to pursue freedom, the determination to build something better, and the belief that every generation has a responsibility to leave this country stronger than they found it.

As we celebrate Independence Day, let’s honor those who came before us, give thanks for the freedoms we enjoy today, and recommit ourselves to preserving them for generations to come.

I am honored and grateful for the support I received in Tuesday's Republican Primary Election.

Thank you to everyone who voted, volunteered, displayed a sign, shared a kind word, or supported my campaign in any way. I could not have done this without you.

As a lifelong resident of Kossuth County, it means a great deal to earn the trust and support of my neighbors.

While we celebrate this important milestone, our work is not finished. I look forward to continuing to meet with residents, listen to your concerns, and share my vision for the future of District 4 and Kossuth County as we head toward the November General Election.

I made sure I didn’t forget to vote today and I was proud to be the very first voter of the day in Swea City!

Today’s primary election is an important one for Iowa. Every vote matters, and your voice deserves to be heard. Polls are open today as Iowa voters choose their party nominees for the November election.

Looking back at these photos reminds me how much service and sacrifice have meant to our family.

Memorial Day always makes me think of my dad and his time serving in the Navy. His example inspired me to serve in the Navy as well, and it gave me a lifelong appreciation for the men and women who wear our nation’s uniform.

Today, we honor those who gave everything for our country and remember the freedoms we enjoy because of their sacrifice.
