🎓 SCSD P-TECH Signing Day at OCC 🎉
On Thursday, 9th and 10th grade students from The Syracuse City School District's Pathways in Technology Early College High School (P-TECH) programs gathered at Onondaga Community College (OCC) for a special P-TECH Signing Day Ceremony —a milestone event marking their transition into the next phase of their academic journey.
Students representing all SCSD P-TECH programs across the district, proudly signed on to accept enrollment in college-level coursework, an exciting step toward earning college credits—at no cost—toward an associate degree.
Participants included students from:
Corcoran High School – P-TECH Computer Chip Technology & Production
PSLA at Fowler High School – P-TECH Computer Information Systems & P-TECH Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems
Henninger High School– P-TECH Health Professions & P-TECH Clinical Laboratory Technology
Institute of Technology at Central (We Are ITC) – P-TECH Mechanical Technology & P-TECH Electrical Technology Programs
The event was led by SCSD P-TECH Coordinator Wendy Ruiz and brought together distinguished guests and leadership, including representatives from the The Syracuse City School District Superintendent’s Office, OCC's President and P-TECH leadership staff, P-TECH Alumni Guest Speaker, as well building principals from Corcoran, Henninger, ITC, and PSLA at Fowler.
Most importantly, the day celebrated the students—their commitment, ambition, and readiness to take full advantage of this unique opportunity.
👏 We are incredibly proud of these scholars as they take this important step forward in their P-TECH journey—learning, growing, and building pathways to future careers.
