Well my term is over with Metro Parks Tacoma and I am so grateful for the time I served my community. I learned so much, gain wisdom and experience and I’m ready for the next chapter in my life.

Thank you for all of your support, activism and love!

I ask that you support our newly elected Commissioner Rosie!! She will be one of the first Hispanic women to serve on the board and her passion for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion is second to none!!

What an amazing night, I still have goose bumps and the moment of being sworn-in is just surreal. Last night, I was sworn-in by my mentor, Council-Woman Victoria Woodards. I wouldn’t be here today without such a strong support system and 3 phenomenal women that are instrumental to my success.

My wife is my rock, her support continues to build a foundation of love that gives me the courage and strength to give so much back to our community. My mentor, confidant and big sister, Victoria Woodards, I look up to you so much and I am so thankful for your mentorship over the past several years. And to my mother, thank you for always believing in me, even when the waves were rough. It was my mother who taught me the definition of resiliency, hard work and a how to have faith in God, that gave us hope that tomorrow would be a better day.

I would like to thank everyone who came out in support last tonight. I am truly honored to serve the citizens of Tacoma as a Tacoma Metro Parks Board Member!

After tonight's vote count we have increased our lead to 865 votes! We will wait it out as the last votes trickle in, but it looks like it's all over folks! I am so honored to receive over 15,000 votes from Tacoma Residents who believe in our message to engage youth to empower our next generation. There is so much work to be done and I feel blessed to work with city leadership in the coming years!

Family & Friends, we have increased our lead to 665 votes! It is not over yet, but we have a great feeling and will patiently await the final results.
