VISUALIZE TACOMA is going to start a new movement.

ANTISTU

An ANTI-STUPIDITY campaign against idiotic partisan politics. The goal? Calling out acts of flimsy political stances that are counterintuitive to common sense and progress, regardless of political affiliation.

Politics has gotten so out of control that we’ve all lost track of the fact that government is supposed to serve the needs of ALL people living in America. That we are supposed to be WORKING TOGETHER, not attacking each other.

ANTISTU will target and highlight acts of stupidity in an effort to steer people towards UNITY, not division. Redirecting us all BACK to following The Constitution.

While it might seem like just another “thing” that separates us, we could use it as a positive way to talk someone off of their political, nonsensical ledge.

ANTISTU That’s a movement we can get behind.

I’ll have to talk with the Visualize Tacoma Team about this… but, I think we need to start using VT to condemn acts of partisan politics in Tacoma.

If all you can bring to the table is, “I’m not voting because they’re a Liberal/Conservative” and not basing your decisions upon the actual issues… YOU are the reason Tacoma is stuck where it’s stuck.

THAT is the most idiotic statement anybody can make when it comes to local politics. YOU are the problem. Yes, I’m pointing my finger at YOU.

Everybody in this city suffers because of your asinine stances on government. At the local level, we need to be less partisan, less divisive, MORE centered on community and coming together.

Nothing will improve in this city until we UNIFY TACOMA.

Get it together, people.

VISUALIZE TACOMA is proud to endorse TIM PAYNE for Tacoma Port Commissioner.

He is exactly what Tacoma needs. A fresh, NEW face in charge. He’s got the chops that we admire, the energy and enthusiasm to bring more jobs and great leadership to the position.

Tim is an executive leader and seasoned strategist. He is the leader we need on the Tacoma Port Commission to grow jobs and revenue for Pierce County. He has a strong background assisting public agencies to improve their business operations, managing contaminated site/environmental remediation efforts for industrial clients, serving as an elected Gig Harbor City Council member for 3 four-year terms, and volunteering his leadership on various non-profit/community boards.

Tim’s career and record of community involvement positions him to be our trusted representative who will listen and be a voice of reason and balance for the citizens of Pierce County as a Tacoma Port Commissioner.

Tim and his wife, Stephanie, have been married for 30 years. They have two sons, Joey and Will. Stephanie is a successful account executive. Joey is a local celebrity in Gig Harbor. Will is a senior in college and working toward being a commercial airline pilot.

Given that I’ve gotten to better know the other Candidates in Tacoma’s Mayoral race, over the last 8 months, I’m going to give my opinions on the two remaining candidates’ campaigns. I’ll also weigh in on a couple of other runs for local positions.

I’ll do a FB LIVE at 2:53, on Sunday. I’ll also talk about what’s next for Visualize Tacoma.

I’m headed out to do a clean sweep of our campaign signs.

I know there are a bunch out in NE TACOMA… lemme know if you’ve seen them anywhere else. Also, if you’ve got one at your house that you need me to grab, please lemme know and I’m on it!

It’s NOT that I need them back. So, if you want to keep it, I’m honored.

Campaigns need to clean up after themselves. So, hold them accountable and let them know that we expect them to clean up, not leave them for somebody else to look after.
