My son, Bennet Ellefson, sang about justice, love, and freedom before he ever studied it.

He was a natural Marxist mind—sharp, kind, and fearless.

The City of Tacoma’s Human Services Commission ignored the theft of millions while people like my son paid the price.

While my son was dying, they were counting dollars.
Tax money meant for treatment — siphoned through ‘God’s Hand Up,’ a for-profit built on suffering.
They wear diamonds bought with the ashes of our children.
Don’t call it recovery work — call it what it is: profiteering off the dead.

I’ve reported the suspected misuse of substance-use tax funds to the DOJ, IRS, and every agency with a conscience left.
I’m not silent, and I’m not crazy — I’m a mother who watched the system feed itself while our children starved for help.

They call it “recovery funding.” I call it bureaucratic embezzlement of hope.
Programs built on grief. Ministries built on money.
Every audit that never happens is another overdose that will.

This isn’t a vendetta — it’s documentation.
Because one day, the paper trail will scream louder than I ever could.
