Governor Maura Healey has proclaimed April 20–24, 2026 as Home Visitor Appreciation Week in Massachusetts — a time to celebrate the dedicated professionals who support pregnant and parenting families across the Commonwealth.

Home visitors play a vital role in improving maternal and child health outcomes, providing guidance, resources, and trusted support during some of life’s most important early moments. Their work not only strengthens families, but also lays a strong foundation for early education and child care by promoting healthy development, school readiness, and family stability.

GREAT NEWS FOR EARLY EDUCATORS IN MASSACHUSETTS

The Healey-Driscoll Administration just announced the opening of applications for the Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Loan Repayment Program — the first state loan repayment program created exclusively for early education and care professionals.

The program provides up to $7,500 per recipient per year to help reduce student loan debt for eligible educators working across a range of settings, including family child care, center-based programs, after school and out-of-school time programs, and residential placement programs.
To be eligible, applicants must have completed a bachelor's degree in a qualifying program of study at an eligible Massachusetts institution after July 1, 2013, and must be working in an EEC-licensed or funded program. Priority will be given to educators who have served five years or more in the field and those working in communities with high needs or ECE seat shortages.

Every year CFC, Inc. collects donations to help provide holiday meals and gifts to selected families. Many of our families are eligible for special programs and charities, but many are not. These are the families CFC, Inc. seeks to contribute to. We gather feedback from educators who interact with families daily and have insight into their lives and experiences. It is through these nominations and your donations that we are able to ensure a full holiday experience to those who may otherwise struggle to do so.
