🇺🇸 Happy Labor Day!

Today we celebrate American workers—while politicians celebrate finding new ways to spend the money those workers earned.

The Uniparty says, “We’re fighting for the working class!”

Then they tax your paycheck, regulate your job, inflate your cost of living, and tell you they're doing it for your own good.

😂 Thanks, but no thanks.

The working class doesn't need a political savior. We need the freedom to work, earn, save, build, and keep more of what we earn.

Happy Labor Day. Your paycheck belongs to YOU.

🌿 FOLLOW THE MONEY: FLORIDA’S FIGHT AGAINST MA*****NA LEGALIZATION

In 2024, nearly 56% of Florida voters supported Amendment 3, which would have legalized ma*****na for adults 21+.

It failed because Florida requires 60%.

But now we’re learning more about the government money surrounding the fight against legalization.

A Florida grand jury found that $10 million in taxpayer money was misappropriated.

The trail:

💰 $10M → Hope Florida Foundation
⬇️
💰 $5M each → Two nonprofits
⬇️
💰 $8.5M → Keep Florida Clean

Keep Florida Clean was a political committee involved in the campaign against Amendment 3.

Think about that.

While Floridians were deciding whether adults should be free to legally possess ma*****na, millions originating from public funds ultimately reached a political organization fighting legalization.

Amendment 3 wasn’t perfect. It didn’t fully end ma*****na prohibition or create a truly free cannabis market.

But government shouldn’t use taxpayer money to help convince voters to preserve government prohibition.

Adults shouldn’t need government permission to possess a plant.

🌿 End ma*****na prohibition.
💰 Keep taxpayer money out of political campaigns.
🗽 Let Floridians make their own choices.

Vote for Scott Jewett for Florida Governor

Government creates the problem, then takes credit for temporarily easing it.

Tariffs are taxes—and American consumers ultimately feel them through higher prices. When beef prices climb and the response is to suspend the very tariffs that helped increase costs, that isn’t a free market solution. It’s government intervention trying to fix government intervention.

Libertarians have a simpler approach:

🗽 Free trade.
🚫 No tariffs.
🚫 No corporate welfare.
🕊️ No foreign wars.

Stop manipulating markets and let Americans freely buy, sell, and trade.

Bring back actual free trade.

Why was this allowed in the 1st place?

The Mount Dora Police Department has made the decision to terminate its Flock license plate reader (LPR) deployment in response to recent public concerns and applicable state and county directives.

We recognize the importance of balancing public safety with privacy, transparency, and community trust. The Department appreciates the feedback received from our residents and remains committed to using responsible, lawful, and community-focused strategies to protect those who live, work, and visit Mount Dora.
