I can think of no one in all of Oklahoma much less in Cleveland County more suited and qualified for sheriff than Senator Darrell Weaver. Of all the senators I ever served with no one was more knowledgeable on public safety, especially related to drugs and related crimes, than Darrell. I always knew when legislation came across my desk regarding public safety, my friend Darrell was just two seats away and could educate me completely on practically any issue in this regard.

Congratulations to Senator Weaver and Cleveland County on a great day for the safety and security of our communities!

Sen. Darrell Weaver, a Republican who has represented Moore in the Oklahoma Senate since 2018, was appointed Cleveland County Sheriff beginning July 6 by the Cleveland County Commissioners Monday afternoon.
