I took a walk in Ten Sleep Canyon yesterday. Today it opened for vehicular travel. The recent moisture has brought some wildflowers. Enjoy!

Took a drive up into Ten Sleep Canyon and walked some of the old highway. This time of the year there should be wildflowers everywhere. Sadly, there were very few, it’s just been so dry.

Bonnie Gregory is gathering stories from her time at the RM Ranch nearly 26 years ago, about something some local women may remember as the “Ten Sleep Turtle.”

It was quietly passed among women in the community, often during seasons of hoping for a baby.

Bonnie was part of that story herself and has carried it with her ever since. She is now hoping to connect with others who may have been part of its passing or have a memory of it.

If this sounds familiar, or you know someone who might have a connection to it, she would love to hear from you.

Stories can be shared privately by messaging Bonnie Gregory directly or emailing [email protected]

NOTE: The photo is just for attention and not the actual Ten Sleep Turtle. It would be wonderful to have a picture of the real one!
