4:12 PM- DPS just informed us that US 385 is now open.

ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE

Due to the Round Up Fire, US 385 is closed beginning at the intersection of US 385 and FM 1061, extending south toward Vega.

Please avoid the area and use an alternate route until the roadway is reopened. We will provide updates as they become available.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation. Please drive safely and watch for emergency personnel working in the area.

🎉 Congratulations to Deputy Sergio Torres on receiving a Letter of Commendation! 🎉

On November 11, 2025, Deputy Torres located and pursued a reckless motorcyclist traveling at speeds exceeding 130 mph on Interstate 40. While working alone and without immediate backup, Deputy Torres safely apprehended the suspect, who initially provided a false identity and was later discovered to have an active murder warrant out of Las Vegas.

Through his professionalism, keen observations, and swift actions, Deputy Torres helped bring a dangerous wanted suspect into custody without incident.

We are proud to recognize Deputy Torres for his dedication, outstanding service, and commitment to protecting the citizens of Oldham County. Please join us in congratulating him on this well-deserved honor! 👏🚔⭐️

🐾 Found Dog 🐾

This dog has been found near Mile Marker 18 on I-40, just west of Adrian. Appears to be a German shepherd. They believe it had a collar, but unable to get close enough to check it.

If this is your dog or you know who it belongs to, please contact the Oldham County Sheriff’s Office at 806-639-2174.

Please share to help us reunite this dog with its owner!

‼️1061 IS NOW OPEN ‼️

⚠️ TRAFFIC ALERT ⚠️
Emergency crews are currently responding to the Blue Diamond Fire near the intersection of US 385 and FM 1061.

FM 1061 from US 385 to the Potter County line will be CLOSED until further notice to allow emergency personnel to safely respond and contain the fire.

Please avoid the area and use alternate routes if possible. We will provide updates as they become available.

🚨Dog has been located! 🚨

We are currently looking for a missing male cocker spaniel named Linken.

If you have seen Linken or have any information on his whereabouts, please contact the Sheriff’s Office at 806-639-2174.

Thank you for your help in bringing him home safely.

They are the calm, steady voice on the other end of the line when someone is experiencing an emergency. They are the first first responders—providing critical support, gathering lifesaving information, and guiding callers through some of their worst moments.

Here in Oldham County, we are fortunate to have some of the very best. These dedicated professionals sacrifice nights, weekends, and holidays to help protect and serve our community.
