🥽 Working side by side with my son for the past 10 years has been one of the greatest blessings. Watching him make the bold decision to take a gap year and fully step into his role as the CEO of his company showing up every day, learning hands-on, and building with purpose has been a proud moment.

Today, me and my sidekick put over 250 high school students in VR with giving them a real glimpse into what 10+ different careers actually look like up close. The New York State Board of Regents has officially mandated financial literacy education as a high school graduation requirement — ensuring every student leaves school prepared for real-world money management.

Here’s what you need to know:
✅ Effective: Students entering 9th grade in 2026–2027 and beyond will be required to complete financial literacy instruction.
✅ Flexible Format: Schools can teach it as a stand-alone course, part of economics or CTE programs, or as individual modules.
✅ Core Topics Include:

• Understanding credit, debt, and interest
• Saving, investing & retirement planning
• Taxes & insurance
• Evaluating borrowing options like student & car loans

💵Today was an incredible milestone! Partnering with The RARE Foundation and where he donated over $600,000 in financial literacy services to more than 1,700 students at Port Richmond High School in his hometown of Staten Island. I had the opportunity to share my own story and emphasize the critical need for financial literacy in schools. The energy and engagement were amazing—students, teachers, and the entire community showed up, proving just how much this education matters. It was an unforgettable event, and I’m proud to be part of this movement toward a financially secure future for all.
