The Cochran’s Crossing Village Association Board had a great time driving around searching for the best decorated homes in the village. This year, the street of Edgemire in Cochran's Green was selected for the best decorated neighborhood in the village.

The street of Edgemire in Cochran’s Green is spectacular every Christmas season. With 14 homes decorated with nativity scenes to Star Wars scenes to snowmen, reindeer and Santa and lights galore, there is always fun to be found! Lights stretch over the street from neighbor to neighbor. Edgemire residents never disappoint. They have won the award for the Best Decorated Neighborhood consecutively since 2003. Thanks Edgemire for another great display!!!

The Cochran’s Crossing Village Association Board had a great time driving around searching for the best decorated homes in the village. This year, the board selected 94 W. Trillium Circle for the best decorated home award!

94 W. Trillium Circle is the home of the French family, originally from New Orleans and residents of The Woodlands for 20 years. Cameron French, now 21, who has grown up in The Woodlands and Cochran’s Crossing, said that a previous neighbor inspired him to want to decorate the exterior of his home every year. Impressed by their giant tree made out of lights, Cameron set to work at age 10 to encourage his family to decorate their home and yard. Every year, Cameron makes the display bigger and better, hand building all of the displays lit by 45,000 lights on his home, lawn, and garage. He spent 75 hours over nearly a two-week period putting up the displays this year with the help of his parents and sister. Cameron not only decorated his home, but he also decorated his Yukon, aka the Christmas Wagon, with over 1000 lights. A waving Santa sits in the front passenger seat!! Follow the Christmas Wagon sightings on Instagram at Christmas_Wagon. Cameron and the French family certainly brought cheer and smiles to the Trillium neighborhood over this holiday season!!!

Congratulations Cameron!!!!

Lost dog named Roxie. Looks like a lab, is about 60 lbs and is completely black. Has an E-collar on and is chipped. If found please call 281-788-8738. (Hi, Cindy & JC! Could you post this?)
Montgomery County taxpayers were slighted today. As many of you know I’m very involved in water issues in our region. For the past couple of years my colleagues and I have contributed to TWDB town halls, we’ve submitted our recommendations and provided thoughtful comments for the creation of the Regional Flood Planning Groups. In October of 2020, the San Jacinto Regional Flood Planning group was formed and though Montgomery County submitted applications for the municipalities, public and water district positions on that board, none of our candidates were successful. No matter we thought, the board will still add 6 new voting members. We’ll get together as a united front and pick the best of the best of our group, surely they’ll win appointment to the San Jack RFPG. Ms. Alia Vinson vice chair of the committee and our only advocate even articulated the motion to include our water district on the board this morning but she had to pull her motion off the table as it was clear from discussion that it would not have passed. We send our tax dollars to the state, the state (via TWDB) created this board and all parties are making sure that in the San Jacinto watershed, Montgomery County has no voice. I find it unacceptable. They are acting contrary to their bylaws that seek geographical diversity and they delegitimized themselves this morning by showing they’re not a “regional” group at all.

This Wednesday is now sold out! Texas Casserole Company has a new dish!
