On Feb 7-8, 2015, developers, designers, entrepreneurs and startup enthusiasts came together in the style of a “hackathon”. Over the course of one weekend, the volunteer team developed the first iteration of StartupConejoValley.com, a website to represent the budding Conejo Valley startup ecosystem. This website serves as a launch pad for the region’s entrepreneurs to discover and plug into local startup initiatives, resources and events.

This program include grants of $5,000 awarded to small businesses and nonprofit organizations located in Ventura County to alleviate impacts from COVID-19 for allowed uses such as payroll support, rent and lease payments, costs for personal protective equipment, purchases related to the operation of their businesses, and extraordinary business expenses for adhering to compliance protocols for reopening (e.g., cleaning services, signage, customer interface capabilities, additional security, etc.). Applications will be available from June 24 to July 8, 2020.
