Sequoia Travel Network Visiting Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park....the living definition of the word "awe". http://s

What to see and do...where to stay...how to find local art...where to eat...

We hope you will also share photos and stories from your special adventures in the land of the Big Trees. This page is administered by Elsah Cort, owner of Cort Cottage Bed and Breakfast in Three Rivers, CA. "The first group website I made for local bed and breakfasts was in 1998. At the time the internet was fa

st becoming the main source for travel planning. When I started my bed and breakfast in 1986, I had to seek out travel book authors and ask (and sometimes pay) to be included in their publications. The first group website (that still exists) was made at sequoiabedandbreakfast.com and several years ago I expanded that list to include all forms of lodging at sequoianationalparklodging.com. I hope that Sequoia Travel Network will evolve into a central hub for helpful information for the visitors coming to our local National Park."

Under the towering sequoias, it’s easy to feel small– in the best way.

What do these giants inspire in you? 💫

Grateful for rain and snow falling...finally. Bring chains to see Giant Forest.

Seasonal Closure Update

As the season changes, so do some of our visitor services. The Lodgepole Visitor Center and Cedar Grove Visitor Center are now both closed for the season.

The Giant Forest Museum, Foothills Visitor Center, and Grant Grove Visitor Center are open year-round for visitors to meet with park rangers and learn about the parks.

The roads leading to the Mineral King and Cedar Grove areas will also close for the season in late October. Road conditions can be found online at nps.gov/seki or by calling our automated line at (559)-565-3341, (Press 1, Then 1).

Tomorrow is National Public Lands Day! 🌲

Since 1994, this annual event on the fourth Saturday of September has been the nation's largest single-day volunteer effort. Last year, over 130 national parks hosted events with 7,600 volunteers donating an impressive 41,500 hours of service.

It's also a fee-free day at the parks!

To celebrate, we wrote a haiku:

Protected by public lands
Will you lend a hand?

On Saturday, September 28, 2024, Sequoia National Park is hosting cleanup efforts at the Lodgepole Campground from 9a.m. to 2 p.m. We will be picking up trash, cleaning out fire rings, restoring bear-safe food storage lockers, and more!

To sign up, search "SEKI" on Volunteer.gov or email the volunteer office at [email protected]. This is a family friendly event for all ages.
