🌧️💧 Flooding & Water Safety Reminder

With significant flooding throughout the Tipton area, here’s an important reminder: floodwater is not recreational water.

Even familiar roads, ditches, creeks, and low-lying areas can become dangerous very quickly. Floodwater can be deeper and move faster than it appears, hide debris or damaged surfaces, and contain contaminants.

Please keep a few basics in mind:

• 🚗 Never drive through flooded roadways. Turn Around, Don’t Drown.
• 🚶 Never walk, swim, or allow children to play in floodwater.
• 🐾 Keep pets away from flooded areas and fast-moving water.
• ⚡ Stay clear of downed power lines and electrical equipment near water.
• 👀 Keep children closely supervised around drainage areas, creeks, retention ponds, and other waterways.

We spend a lot of time talking about water safety at the pool, but those lessons matter everywhere. When in doubt, stay out.

☀️ That's a Wrap on the 2026 Pool Season!

Another summer at the Tipton City Pool is officially in the books—and once again, our community showed up in a big way.

This summer we:

🏊 Welcomed 19,420 guests — averaging 272 guests per day
☀️ Reached a single-day high of 612 guests
🎟️ Sold 206 season passes
💦 Provided swim lessons to 84 participants
🎉 Hosted 26 private parties
💃 Welcomed 175 AquaZUMBA participants
💰 Achieved the highest gross revenue in pool history

A massive thank you to our 2026 staff. Running a public pool takes a tremendous amount of work that most people never see, and this group handled it exceptionally well.

Our staff performed more than 30 in-water rescues, served more than 4,000 pretzels, hot dogs, and nachos, taught kids to swim, kept thousands of guests safe, and built relationships with families that extend well beyond the summer months.

Ultimately, the numbers tell only part of the story. Another season simply reinforced what we've known for a long time: the Tipton City Pool remains a cornerstone of the Tipton community. Thank you to everyone who spent part of their summer with us.

We're officially into the final three days of the 2026 pool season!

🏊 Today's Hours: 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Following public swim, we'll be hosting a private event beginning at 6:00 PM.

🎉 The good news? Tomorrow and Sunday are FREE SWIM WEEKEND, thanks to the generosity of West Street Christian Church. Admission is FREE for everyone, and Sunday is the final day of the 2026 season!

Today, we’d like to wish all of our guests, families, teachers, and especially our incredible 2026 Tipton City Pool staff a fantastic first day back at school!

We hope it’s a great year filled with new opportunities, friendships, and success.

To our lifeguards and staff—thank you for spending your summer helping make the Tipton City Pool such a special place. We know many of you are trading whistles and sunscreen for backpacks and homework today, and we’re proud of everything you’ve accomplished both at the pool and in the classroom.
