Kacy Brown Vote Kacy Brown for Tolar City Council Place 2, in the upcoming Nov 2025 Election

10/11/2025

Hello Tolar neighbors and friends, Kacy Brown here, I’m reaching out to you today to let you know that I will be on your ballot for City Council Place 2 this coming Election.

My husband Justin and I moved to Tolar with our 3 kids in 2014 looking for a fresh start and we found just that.

I’m a full time working mom who’s crazy and cares enough to want to get involved and learn and do more for the community. For the sake of transparency, I do not have any experience serving on city council but this is a second attempt.

Our kids have grown up in the Tolar school. They have been involved with sports, band, AG, cheer, fine arts, UIL and have done well and are enjoyed by their teachers and administrators. We have one that just graduated and two not too far behind.

I work full time as a veterinary professional in Fort Worth and have been the field almost 30 years.

My role in leadership there utilizes skills in budgeting, planning, logistics, training, communication and team management. Due to additional roles and responsibilities, I have to be prepared at any time for inspections by regulatory offices which means I have an understanding of policy and regulations, what they mean and how to follow them.
I feel that I would serve as a good council member because I do things with honesty and integrity and will have the communities best interest in mind.

My goal on the council would be to represent to the community of Tolar, doing my part to ensure that your tax dollars are used wisely and transparently. I want to advocate for progressive development and hold our other county officials accountable by working alongside them. Because that’s how accountability works.

I’m running alongside my good friend Michelle Barron and we’d like to meet and talk to anyone that’s interested. More details to come.

I have not run an active campaign. I admit, I didn’t decide to run until the very last minute. And then, life happened. My point is, this doesn’t mean I don’t care or that I’m not serious.

Full disclosure - I’ve never served on a city council or run for a place. There’s a lot of things I don’t know about serving on a council.
But, I’m a smart lady. Everyone is new when they first begin something right?!?

Also, it is true. I’m not a homeowner. Doesn’t mean I don’t plan to be. Doesn’t mean we haven’t been trying. Doesn’t mean we haven’t commited to renting in this town for the last 7 and a half years. By choice.
Which has not been easy until these last four years.

So what can I bring to the table?

Honesty.
Integrity.
Leadership.
A voice for the community.

Why am I running?

There are currently 3 volunteer firemen on the council. If one of the current incumbents wins mayor, I feel pretty sure there will be a fourth fireman on the council. 🧐
This is just not a good idea for very obvious reasons. Wouldn’t you agree?
*Please know, I have no disrespect for the fire department as a whole.

That’s the main reason but there are others. I like to be involved and I beilieve deeply that local government is SO important!

Welcome to my campaign page.
My name is Kacy, my husband and I have lived in Tolar with our three children for eight years now. We enjoy Tolar and have thrived here.
During my time here, I have had the opportunity to be involved with the school district; at times as a volunteer and as a substitute teacher for a couple of years.
For the past four years I have worked full time in Fort Worth at a 24 hour emergency veterinary hospital. I have worked in the veterinary field for the majority of the past 24 years taking some time to be home with our children.
It’s no secret that Tolar is growing and growing fast. Our community is changing whether we like it or not.
As citizens of Tolar we all want to live in a community that is safe and thriving. I want to be Tolar's next city council member to help lead our rapidly growing town to that goal.
This November, Vote Kacy Brown for Tolar City Council Place 4.
