Update- Eversource CT is on scene.

With the wind, a pine tree has taken out some wires on RT 74 Tolland Stage Rd, right near Garry Rd. Traffic is diverted. TFD and CSP are on scene. Eversource has been notified. Approx. 500 w/o power.

MEMORIAL DAY PARADE CANCELLED:

Due to the forecast for significant sustained rain and cold temperatures, the Tolland Memorial Day Parade scheduled for Sunday at 1:00pm has been canceled.

This difficult decision was made collaboratively and by consensus between the Tolland Town Council leadership, the Permanent Celebration Committee, and the Town Manager’s Office. Thank you to Tolland residents Kevin Wood for his consistent forecast updates over the last three days.

We recognize how important this annual tradition is to our community and appreciate the tremendous effort that goes into organizing and participating in the parade each year. Most importantly, we continue to honor and remember the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.

The “Town of Tolland” is a named ‘victim’ in these crimes.

KENNETH DENNING, 69, of Holland, Massachusetts, pleaded guilty today in New Haven federal court to offenses stemming from his operation of the Electric Blue, a strip club in Tolland, Connecticut, where he and his employees promoted and facilitated prostitution.

Update: Tree on wires- about 100 customers without power way up on Plains Road. Tolland Fire blocking the road, Eversource notified.

It seems like we got hit with quite a little burst. Some trees down and lots of debris out there. TFD and DPW are heading out. ⚡ 🌧️ 💨
Our referendum is going with the flow, shifting from heat issues to keeping voters dry and safe. Voting remains safe and open until 8pm.

The annual budget referendum will be held today, May 19, 2026 in the Tolland Library Program Room at 21 Tolland Green (Lot C).

Polls will be open until 8:00 p.m.

Only registered Tolland voters may vote in this referendum.
