Christian is a renowned chef, father of two (Stellina is named after his daughter), and an adventurer at heart. He moved to the west coast with nothing but a car, a buddy, and a passion for cooking. The buddy and the car didn't quite make it to California but the passion remains.⁠

Until Sartori strawberries are in season, these are an excellent alternative.

Jim Cochran and the Swanton Berry farm have demonstrated to the strawberry industry that it's possible to grow strawberries on a large scale without pumping them up with nitrogen and without using toxic fumigants and pesticides.

In honor of Earth Day, tell the EPA to ban the toxic pesticide methyl iodide, which may be used on non-organic strawberries. And, of course, buy organic (and local) strawberries that are healthy and delicious!

The WSJ reports that strawberries may help fight cancer!

Strawberries have the potential to prevent esophageal cancer, according to a preliminary study released Wednesday. About 16,000 new cases of esophageal cancer are diagnosed in the U.S. a year.

Yikes! We are proud to report that our strawberries do not take antibiotics (or pesticides).

There's something seriously wrong with a food system that requires 80 percent of the country's antibiotics just to maintain itself. This food isn't healthy, and it's making -- and keeping -- us sick.
