Just off a call with the US National Weather Service Buffalo NY in which they announced the Blizzard will continue through the overnight into Sunday, with non-blizzard snows falling through Monday as well. The band is expected to move south during that time period and conditions will degrade rapidly.

Driving ban is still in effect.…DO NOT GO OUT AND DRIVE. If you have to ask via social media or by calling the Police station if you are essential…chances are you are not. Stay home, stay warm, clear your furnace vents and dryer vents. Thank you for your anticipated cooperation

Still in effect…Stay home

Still in effect…Stay home

As a reminder, a Driving/Travel Ban is in effect for all of Erie County. The northern part of the county, which includes Buffalo, is in horrible shape. The southeastern part of the county did not get as much snow but still has Blizzard conditions due to the wind.

Public announcement: just because your car is push button start and you have the fob in your pocket someone can still get in your car and steal it. Also do not leave your car unattended running at a convenience store while you go inside and expect it to be outside still when you come out. Multiple stolen cars in Northern Erie county in the past few days, all running unlocked and unattended. Don’t make yourself a victim.
As the first really decent amount of snow fell today here are a few points to remember. If it comes from your property it should stay on your property. It is unlawful for you or your plow driver to push/blow or deposit snow from your driveway across or into the street. Section 1219 of the New York state vehicle and traffic law covers that. We have received multiple complaints today already of plow drivers pushing snow from driveways on one side of the street to the other side of the street and up on to the neighbor’s tree lawn and this is unlawful. Any snow from your driveway or sidewalk lawfully must remain on your own property. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
The parking ban will be enforced starting at 2am January 2nd 2022.
Happy New Year from all of us at the Kenmore Police
They are off the streets. But play it safe anyways and lock your cars and house.
be prepared and plan ahead for a safe and happy holiday
Tonight’s the night for Santa
There are a couple trees down on Hamilton and the DPW is out taking care of them. Some power outages on Lasalle and Tremaine and National Grod is already out working on them. Hopefully they can get the power restored ASAP. If you put your garbage out already, your can might be empty by now.
The Village board has delayed the parking ban until 2am on January 2nd 2022
It might be a good night to park in your driveway. The plows will be back out at 2am to clear the streets. So if you are able to park in your driveway tonight please do so. The DPW guys would greatly appreciate it.
On the 80th Anniversary of Pearl Harbor Day we remember the 2,403 Americans who lost their lives.
The start of the parking ban has been pushed back to December 14th 2021. At 2am on December 15 you will need to have your vehicles removed from the street.
