Clarence E. Thomas, 21, of Buffalo has been arraigned on a nine-count indictment. He is accused of firing multiple shots from an illegal gun into an occupied vehicle on Isabelle Street in the city's Riverside neighborhood in July 2023. Three of the five people inside of the vehicle were injured by gunfire. One victim, Treyvon Flood, 20, was pronounced dead at the hospital. The second victim, DeMarkus Manners, 20, died from the injuries four days later. The third victim, a 19-year-old male, was hospitalized with three gunshot wounds to his upper back. Thomas continues to be held without bail. If convicted of the highest count, he faces a maximum sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole. https://tinyurl.com/yfjckpxv
A 19-year-old male from Buffalo pleaded guilty to Manslaughter in the First Degree for fatally shooting a bystander during an attempted robbery on Elmer Avenue in the City of Buffalo last August. The victim, a 16-year-old female from Niagara Falls, died from the injuries at the hospital. Makai Cook, 19, of Buffalo was arraigned on assault, menacing, weapon possession and trespass charges after he allegedly slashed a student outside of Riverside High School yesterday afternoon. Christa M. Cutrona, 46, of West Seneca was arraigned on falsifying business records and official misconduct charges. The defendant, while working as the Director of Correctional Health for ECSO, allegedly falsified her timecards.
