It's HERE!

We're excited to share our brand-new video featuring the voices of CASA volunteers and the young people whose lives have been impacted by their advocacy, support, and commitment.

This project shines a light on the difference a dedicated CASA volunteer can make for a child navigating the foster care system.

A special thank you to the incredible team at AdFed of Topeka for helping bring this vision to life, and to the volunteers and young people who generously shared their stories and experiences.

2026 NAMI Kansas Annual Conference & Membership Meeting Registration
The 2026 NAMI Kansas Annual Conference and Membership Meeting will be held at West Ridge Mall (1801 SW Wanamaker Rd, Topeka, KS 66604) on Friday, October 9 from 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM. The 2026 NAMI Kansas Annual Membership Meeting will be over Zoom on Saturday, October 10 from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM.

🎉 Kick Off the 2026-2027 School Year with BGCT! 🎉

Families, you're invited to our School Year Family Orientation, and we can't wait to welcome you!

📍 Adams Club | 550 SE 27th St.

This is not your typical orientation! We've created an interactive evening where the whole family can get excited about the upcoming school year.

Our team will be available throughout the evening to help families:
✅ Complete school year enrollment
✅ Apply for financial assistance or set up payment plans
✅ Get connected with community resources
✅ Learn about transportation services
✅ Meet staff and get answers to questions about the upcoming school year

While guardians connect with our team, members will enjoy:

🎨 Arts
🧪 STEM activities
🕵️ Scavenger hunts
✨ A sneak peek at the exciting programs and experiences planned for this school year!

🍎 Light snacks will be provided.

We strongly encourage all 2026-2027 School Year families to attend to ensure your family is enrolled, prepared, and ready for a successful start to the school year.

🎥 Something exciting is happening at CASA of Shawnee County!

Today, we spent the morning filming a new video project that will help tell the story of CASA through the voices of those who have experienced its impact firsthand.

We were fortunate to have Kurt Eskilson and Ryan Bishop generously volunteer their time and talents to help bring this project to life. Their professionalism and expertise helped create an incredible experience for everyone involved.

We were also honored to sit down with CASA volunteers and a former foster youth who shared their stories and perspectives to help others better understand the importance of advocacy for children in foster care.

We're not quite ready for the big reveal just yet, but we wanted to share a few behind-the-scenes photos from today's filming.

Today, these five beautiful ladies, were sworn in by the Hon. Penny Moylan to become CASA’s and are now ready to receive their first case. They have been a fun group and we feel so privileged to welcome you to our CASA family! Thank you for stepping up to make a difference in the life of a child! Please join us in welcoming our new advocates: Makaela Bucl; Katie Butler; Delaney Hutchins; Alicia Jargo and Harley Stucky.
