This past year as LACCD Board President has definitely pushed me way outside my comfort zone and into spaces beyond my wildest dreams. I can honestly say, I unapologetically gave it my all. This year brought so many unforeseen challenges to our community, but we stood strong and we focused on protecting and serving our students. I’m so grateful for my Board Colleagues, Chancellor, DC, VC, Presidents, Administrators, Faculty, Staff, my kitchen cabinet (you know who you are), and the students for believing in me and supporting me as I navigated this beast of a role. There’s still so much to do but I will take the next few weeks to exhale, soak it all in, and reflect on the amazing work we did! HEART-FULL!!!!
