On May 28, 2026, After entering a plea of no contest on March 30, 2026 to one count of felony Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine), Joseph ALLIGER has been sentenced to a minimum of 24 months to a maximum of 72 months in a State Correctional Facility.
ALLIGER was charged by Officer Warren of the Athens Township Police Department following a Drug Task Force Investigation where 56 grams of methamphetamine and a digital scale were found in ALLIGER’s truck pursuant to a traffic stop.
It was discovered that ALLIGER directed a passenger in the vehicle to hide the methamphetamine in their pants. When occupants of the truck realized they would be removed from the vehicle, the passenger placed the methamphetamine under the seat of the truck where it was later found by Law Enforcement.
In addition to the methamphetamine and digital scale found in the truck, Ma*****na and a large sum of cash were found on ALLIGER’s person.
At the time of this offense, ALLIGER was under the supervision of State Parole. The sentence imposed in this case shall be run consecutively to his criminal case in Susquehanna County.
