On May 28, 2026, After entering a plea of no contest on March 30, 2026 to one count of felony Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine), Joseph ALLIGER has been sentenced to a minimum of 24 months to a maximum of 72 months in a State Correctional Facility.
ALLIGER was charged by Officer Warren of the Athens Township Police Department following a Drug Task Force Investigation where 56 grams of methamphetamine and a digital scale were found in ALLIGER’s truck pursuant to a traffic stop.
It was discovered that ALLIGER directed a passenger in the vehicle to hide the methamphetamine in their pants. When occupants of the truck realized they would be removed from the vehicle, the passenger placed the methamphetamine under the seat of the truck where it was later found by Law Enforcement.
In addition to the methamphetamine and digital scale found in the truck, Ma*****na and a large sum of cash were found on ALLIGER’s person.
At the time of this offense, ALLIGER was under the supervision of State Parole. The sentence imposed in this case shall be run consecutively to his criminal case in Susquehanna County.

On June 1, 2026, after entering a plea of guilty on April 6, 2026 to one felony count of delivery of a controlled substance (Methamphetamine), Michael D. Roberts was sentenced to a minimum of 16 months to a maximum of 48 months in a State Correctional Facility.
This Drug Task Force investigation was led by Officer Condusta from the Athens Township Police Department with Assistance from Officers from Sayre Police, Athens Borough Police, and the Pennsylvania State Police Vice/Narcotics Unit.

TOWANDA BOROUGH POLICE DEPARTMENT – PUBLIC ASSISTANCE REQUEST

On Friday evening, May 29, 2026, Towanda Borough Police attempted to stop the motorcycle shown below. The operator was traveling at high speeds, weaving through traffic, and showing no regard for public safety. The motorcycle continued north on York Avenue before the pursuit was discontinued to avoid further risk to the community.

We are asking for the public’s help in identifying the individual or providing any information about this incident or the motorcycle involved.

On March 23, 2026 Chelsea LEIGHTON entered a plea of guilty to the offenses of two felony counts of possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, two felony counts of criminal use of a communication facility, two misdemeanor counts of possession of a methamphetamine, and two misdemeanor counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.
On May 11, 2026 LEIGHTON was sentenced to a minimum of 48 months to a maximum of 128 months on her drug offenses.
LEIGHTON was also sentenced to a minimum of 6 months to a maximum of 24 months for an unrelated case where she entered a plea of guilty for the offense of simple assault.
The sentences shall be served consecutively, meaning LEIGHTON’s aggregate minimum sentence shall be 54 months and her aggregate maximum shall be 152 months.

On January 30, 2026, Shawn Michael LEISER (52) of Wysox, pled guilty to one count of delivery of a controlled substance (Methamphetamine, greater than 20 grams) an ungraded felony. On April 9, 2026 LEISER was sentenced to a minimum of 42 months to a maximum of 10 years incarceration.
LEISER was originally charged with 5 felony counts of Delivery of a controlled substance, 5 misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance, and 5 misdemeanor counts of possession of paraphernalia.

On March 23, 2026, CHELSEY LEIGHTON, AKA CHELSEY DECKER, 34, Wysox, PA, plead guilty to two (2) counts of Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine, two counts of Criminal Use of a Communications Facility, two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance and two counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Ms. Leighton pled guilty to everything she was charged with just prior to jury selection. Further, Ms. Leighton also pled guilty to Simple Assault against one of her children in a separate unrelated case. At the conclusion of the hearing, Ms. Leighton’s bail was revoked and she was remanded to the Bradford County Correctional Facility. Ms. Leighton is scheduled for sentencing on May 11, 2026.

ROBBI LYNN WHITE, 61, Towanda, PA, was sentenced to a minimum of 329 days in State Prison to a maximum of 120 months, or ten years, together with a $500.00 fine plus costs of prosecution. White was convicted of Possession with Intent to Deliver 2.5 to 10 grams of Methamphetamine, following the efforts of Detective David Hart of the Bradford County Drug Task Force. White sold the methamphetamine to an undercover informant between January and February of 2022. “This lengthy sentence will keep White under supervision, when and if he is released from State incarceration, into his seventies,” said District Attorney Richard Wilson. White had a criminal history dating back to the 1990’s involving thefts and drug offenses. In the event that White reoffends or fails to comply with the terms of his eventual supervision, once he's released from State Prison, he can be reincarcerated and ordered to serve the balance of his sentence.

MARY J. PETTIT, 35, Athens, PA, was resentenced to an overall minimum of 18 months in a state prison to a maximum of 74 months for the offense of Delivery of Methamphetamine. Pettit was charged with the offense by Detective Michael Lamanna of the Bradford County Drug Task Force back in September of 2022 following her sales of the illegal substance to a confidential informant in January of that year. Pettit was originally convicted of the offense back in 2023 and sentenced to some jail time in the Bradford County Correctional Facility but also some probation. Pettit failed to complete the terms of her probation, which included drug and alcohol evaluations and mental health evaluations, drug and alcohol counseling, and the like. While Pettit did complete some of those conditions, she also failed to appear for drug testing on multiple occasions, and also tested positive for illegal drugs on multiple occasions, as well. Her probationary sentence was revoked, and she was resentenced to the harsher sanction of state prison, which is an appropriate graduated response to her ongoing conduct.
