Today, we pause to remember September 11, 2001.

We remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost, the families forever changed, and the first responders who ran toward danger without hesitation.

For many of us, the memory of that day is as clear now as it was then. It shaped who we are, why we serve, and what we stand for.

As Reserve Airmen, we honor their legacy not just in words, but in action — by staying ready to defend our nation, support our communities, and stand beside each other in the face of any challenge.

We will never forget.

Bamboo Eagle 25-3 also was a testing scenario for command and control concepts in a combat-representative environment. On the ground, the Air Force Reserve’s 349th Air Mobility Wing at Travis AFB, California, led a live Air Expeditionary Wing.

The 349th AEW Air Staff managed more than 90 combat sorties from the main and forward operating bases, and provided oversight, integration, operational planning, and management of combat capabilities of three assigned units, more than 300 personnel, and 26 aircraft.
