*** NOTICE ***

The Town of Troy is seeking to fill a vacancy for Commissioner to Southwest Region Planning Commission, the regional planning agency for this region. According to RSA 36:46, each town in our region can appoint two Commissioners (plus alternates). Status as Commissioner includes eligibility to serve on the Board of Directors. Perhaps more importantly, Commissioners, along with other municipal officials, are kept informed of various regional initiatives as well as local technical assistance and grant opportunities related to land use, transportation, economic development and much more. Commissioners meet quarterly and are appointed for 4 years at a time. More information about SWRPC, including the roster of Commissioners from the region, please visit https://www.swrpc.org/.

Individuals interested in being considered for the role of Commissioner are asked to write a brief letter of interest and submit it to the Planning Board via e-mail to Elizabeth Watson ([email protected]). Commissioners must first be nominated by the Planning Board before they can be appointed by the Board of Selectmen.
